A significant part of Mr. Whitman’s experience with Kraft Foods included leading turn-around efforts on businesses topping the company’s “bleeder list”. While running the Kool-Aid Bursts beverage business, Mr. Whitman led the re-engineering of a $175 million business to radically restructure manufacturing systems, deliver 25% volume growth over two years, achieve share leadership, improve margins by 6 points, and record its first year of profitability.
Mr. Whitman is a recognized leader in new product development, having led many successful introductions including the development of the Philadelphia Snack Bars business, which had first year retail sales of almost $100 million. He also brings significant functional experience in consumer goods, having had assignments in marketing, sales, strategy, operations, and corporate development.
Mr. Whitman earned a BBA degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
